"We Are From Here" mural, Craigmillar, Edinburgh

 

As part of a multi media project called "We Are From Here" led by Lou Brodie of Lyra Theatre, I was commissioned to do a mural for Craigmillar based on a brief create by young people from Craigmillar. The houses around the the mural were all painted by about 70 young people from various groups including Castlebrae high School, Jack Kane Centre, St Francis School, St Teresa's and Sandy's Group. They were asked to paint a house that represented Craigmillar. So lots of references and fun. Try and find the Pandas! They also helped with painting the colours and putting on the type. The artwork was painted in Craigmillar in Sandy's Community Centre.
