Title: Cotton Mills of Oldham

Size: a quarter of a mile, 8ft high

Client: Spindles Shopping Centre, Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, Unity Trust Bank.

Community involvement: 7 primary schools, two disabled groups, unemployed group and local artists; 130 local residents

 

A quarter of a mile long. The Spindles shopping Centre mural was based on all the names of the Cotton Mills of Oldham. The project involved over 100 local artists and many local groups. Completed with the assistance of Mark Whyatt, Ged Byrant over sunny two weeks.
