Date: 1993

Commissioned by architect Ian Begg, this ceiling mural, contains a map of Scotland with the coats of arms of the council of Scotland at the time.

The colour palette was set by Ian, as the colours that reflect Scotland. Painted with Keim paint.

Assisted by Moy Mackay and contains stencils from Pavillion Stencil Kit.

Scotland has a tradition of painted ceilings, which this artwork pays homage to.

​Andrew Crummy is an artist who draws and paints. Since 1986 he has completed many artworks, illustrations, paintings and murals.

He is known as the designer of community art tapestries including The Great tapestry of Scotland.

In 2023 he was awarded an MBE, an honorary doctorate from Dundee University and a Fletcher of Saltoun Award from The Saltire Society.
