"Violin Echoes"  is the fourth in a series of downloadable designs that are exclusive to this website.

I have designed over 600 designs for many tapestries since 2010. Building up experience on how to create design for stitch.

The violin appears in most tapestries I have designed and has a  a very personal connection. Not only a love of music but its connection to where I was brought up in Edinburgh. Craigmillar is a housing scheme on the edge of Edinburgh.  The opening panel of The Craigmillar Tapestry features a violin, but I always try a put a reference to a violin in every tapestry. If you go to Craigmillar you will see a sculpture which tells the story of the violin.

If you wish to stitch this drawing, trace the line drawing onto a piece of linen, then stitch. Simple!

The download includes full size A5 image to trace, colour illustration and a secret message!
